The Pharisees were quite sure that Jesus taught that He was God. This is no mere addition by later generations of Christians as some have tried to make out. This is the whole point of whether Jesus’ testimony about Himself is valid. Who should you pray for to accept the validity of Jesus’ testimony about Himself?

* Dear Lord God, You are true and Your word is truth. Please teach us today.
“… But he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.”
Jesus, God in the Person of the Son, delivered the words of God in the Person of the Father to those around Him.
He is a faithful Son.
He listened to and obeyed His Father.
Jesus patterns for us what it means to walk obediently under the will of God.
We are to follow Jesus in this, as in all things.
To speak the word of God to those around us, the good news to the nations!
And the word of God is the testimony of Jesus!
From start to end, He is the answer. All God’s promises find their YES in Jesus. Jesus is the beginning and the end. Jesus is the energy by which the world was made and the energy by which the universe is sustained.
Jesus is the Servant King who saves His people from our sin, the Shepherd that tends His sheep, the Good Physician who heals our wound, the death-defeating Righteous One who conquered the great enemy at Calvary, rising on the third day, our new Sabbath that points us to the bigger idea of rest in eternal life, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, our Great High Priest always interceding for us His people.
What news this is!
* Lord God Above,
Please teach us of You today, we would know You better.
Write Your word on our hearts Lord God, that we might know how to please You, that we might deliver Your words to those around us.
