The Pharisees were quite sure that Jesus taught that He was God. This is no mere addition by later generations of Christians as some have tried to make out. This is the whole point of whether Jesus’ testimony about Himself is valid. Who should you pray for to accept the validity of Jesus’ testimony about Himself?

* Dear Lord God, You are true and Your word is truth. Please teach us today.
“… But he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.”
Jesus, God in the person of the Son, delivered the words of God the Father to those around Him.
He was a faithful Son.
He listened and obeyed His Father.
He patterns for us what it means to walk obediently under the will of God.
We are to follow Jesus in this (as all else).
To speak the word of God to those around us, the good news to the nations!
And what does God’s word tell us of but Jesus!
From start to end, He is the answer, all God’s promises find their YES in Him, He is the beginning and the end, He is the energy that made the world and the energy that keeps it going – He is the Servant King who saves us His people from our sin, the Shepherd that tends His sheep, the Good Physician who heals our wound, the death-defeating Righteous One who conquered the great enemy at Calvary, rising on the third day.
What news this is!
* Lord God Above,
Please teach us of You today, we would know You better.
Write Your word on our hearts Lord God, that we might know how to please You, that we might deliver Your words to those around us.
