SAA Notes

Jesus entered Earthly Jerusalem on that Sunday proclaimed as Israel’s King and returned from Heavenly Jerusalem on the next Sunday as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Who needs to heed the voice from heaven in your circle? Continue in prayer!

SJA Notes

* Father God, Your word is true. Please teach us from it today.

“Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

What a picture we see here, what a hope for the whole world!

Non-Jewish people, people from the land of Greece, came and asked to see Jesus.

But these were not God’s people, they were not biologically descended from Abraham!

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

Jesus knew the Greeks were asking to see Him.

He knew then the span of time, God Himself, that we today would want to see Him.

And He tells us an incredible thing – That His death on the cross, a horrible curse, an event that shook creation, would draw all people to Himself.

As we look upon Him, lifted up from the earth as the bronze serpent was raised by Moses for the people to look at.

All people.

Not those born of Abraham’s earthly seed, but instead those born of heavenly rebirth (the promise of all nations being blessed through Abraham is strong here).

“And whoever sees me sees him who sent me.”

If we see Jesus, we see God. There is no extra task, no other set of items in a checklist.

Do we believe in Jesus? Then we believe in God Almighty; Father, Son and Spirit.

Do we see Jesus? Then we see God Himself.

This is a wonderful thing!

* God Almighty,

Please show us Jesus today, Your word become flesh.

Thank You for His work at Calvary and through to that new Sabbath day when He rose again, defeating death.

Thank You for saving us!

Amen.
