It has been common for 2,000 years for Christians to learn these 18 verses off by heart. They are a great treasure trove of knowledge about Jesus Christ. Meditate on one verse that stands out in your mind today.

SJA Notes

* Dear God, thank You for Jesus, You in the Person of the Son, Your word become flesh who dwelt among us. Please teach us today.

“No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.”

Look at the great big themes here in John’s gospel telling of Jesus.

The Word.

God’s Word become flesh.

God’s Word dwelling amongst us.

Light.

The truth light.

Light > Darkness.

Jesus is the light (that John the Baptist bore witness to).

Life.

Jesus is life.

It is Jesus who we SEE!

While we cannot see God, no man has – Yet here is a mystery. That God in the Person of the Son _did_ come and dwell on earth visibly, walking and talking, loving and caring, rebuking and chastising.

Jesus is God. Jesus shows us God.

May our eyes be opened to see Him today.

* Mighty God,

Thank You for Your word to us today.

Thank You for Your light that shines in the darkness. Thank You that Jesus is light, the true light.

We would see Jesus today!

Amen.
