SAA Notes

When you read this chapter, one refrain keeps coming through: they made … as the Lord commanded Moses. As the chorus says: Trust and obey, there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey!

SJA Notes

* Dear God, teach us from Your word today, show us what it means to be holy.

“They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription, like the engraving of a signet, ‘Holy to the LORD.'”

This inscription is a big important truth to hold onto.

We are set apart in Christ Jesus (our great High Priest), His saving work changing us. HOLY.

We are to walk according to God’s law on our hearts, setting ourselves apart, not as the world tells us to. HOLY.

We are to gather together as God’s people in together-worship on the Sabbath, entering into His throne room. HOLY.

In Isaiah ch 62 we read,

“And they shall be called The Holy People, The Redeemed of the LORD;”

This is us! Redeemed by the blood of Jesus, rescued through His taking on our sin as His own (He who knew no sin).

The apostle Peter works through this in 1 Peter ch 2,

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, …”

Hallelujah that in Jesus, because of the atonement He made through His death, by the victory won in His rising from the death, continuing in His interceding work at the right-hand of the Father – we are HOLY TO THE LORD.

* God Above,

You call us to be holy because You are holy.

May we reflect Your holiness today, walking according to Your commands, shining Your light to those around us.

Amen.
