SAA Notes

The Red Sea is the finale of God’s great acts of salvation for Israel. This salvation was by His grace. Israel followed Moses and were led out into the desert and trapped – by the Sea, the desert and Pharaoh’s army. God Himself provided the means of salvation.

SJA Notes

* Almighty God, thank You for delivering us Your people from bondage and into freedom found in You.

“Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians,”

God did the work.

God saved His people.

All that they had to do was be silent.

God fought for His people.

As with Israel then, so with us through the ages.

God has done the work in Him the Son on the cross, rising again on the third day.

God has saved His people through the shed blood of the Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world.

God has fought and defeated sin, the Devil and death.

Hallelujah, what a God we have!

* Gracious Father in Heaven,

Thank You for Your mercy to us.

Thank You for saving us from the great enemies of sin, the Devil and death.

Please draw us closer to You this day.

Amen.
