SAA Notes

These two incidents flow into one another. Think through what they teach about Jesus. What stands out to you of His authority, character and attitudes?

SJA Notes

* Dear God, please teach us today from Your word, for Your word is life to us.

“Philip answered him, ‘Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.'”

We might be tempted to look at Philip and scoff at his lack of faith.

As with Philip, so with us.

We so often limit what God can do based on our own preconceptions, our own thinking, our own ideas and frailties.

We can be encouraged, as we trust Philip was, by Jesus’ display of authority and power over creation; time, space and matter – To trust that He can do what seems outside of reality.

He is God. Creator. Sustainer. Life-Giver.

Let us be encouraged to can our concerns at His feet, and trust that He is willing and able to carry out His will for us (for our good, an inheritance like no other, a home in glory).

* Father God in Heaven,

Thank You for our daily bread.

Thank You that You are intentional and powerful to provide us each day with what we need, and to build for us a place – many mansions – in glory.

Thank You Lord!

Amen.
