SAA Notes

Martha believed that Jesus was the Christ. Those who did not believe saw the resurrection of Lazarus and yet did not see any glory, but a trick – see tomorrow’s reading. To see the glory in what Jesus said and did a person must first believe that Jesus is Christ, God become flesh.

SJA Notes

* Lord God, there is none like You – You are the alpha and omega, beginning and end. Please teach us today.

“When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled.”

In Jesus we have a great high priest who has suffered as we suffer.

He can intercede for us because He knows our suffering!

Jesus felt great anguish, His Spirit moving deeply, being greatly troubled.

Jesus is not only our Good Shepherd, the Great Physician, the Servant King – He is also our FRIEND.

Look at His response to the sorrow of those around Him.

Jesus is deeply moved.

How comforting this is to know that our God is not far away and unknowing of our pain.

Instead, He came to this earth and suffered all the way to the cross.

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

* God Above,

Thank You that we can trust You understand our suffering, and can interceded with purpose and intent, effectual.

Thank You Lord!

Amen.
