SAA Notes

Nicodemus is someone who would not commit himself while Jesus was alive. Is there anyone you might write off as a waste of time, because of his or her continued equivocation and refusal to commit to Christ? Don’t! There are some memorable and precious words spoken by Jesus today.

SJA Notes

* Father God, please teach us from Your word today.

“And this is the judgement: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.”

This is a hard word.

Jesus has spoken of being born again, of the serpent lifted up, Himself to be lifted up, believing on Him giving eternal life.

But here is the other side of the truth-coin.

That people love the darkness rather than the light.

Because their works are evil.

Praise God that He has saved us, so that we love His light.

Praise God that through Father, Son and Spirit we are being transformed, so that our works can be pleasing fragrances of worship to Him.

* Dear God,

Please forgive us for our sin.

Please wash us clean today from the muck of the world, and of our own sinful hearts.

Thank You for saving us.

Amen.
