SAA Notes

Nicodemus is someone who would not commit himself while Jesus was alive. Is there anyone you might write off as a waste of time, because of his or her continued equivocation and refusal to commit to Christ? Don’t! There are some memorable and precious words spoken by Jesus today.

SJA Notes

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.”

The bronze serpent saved those that looked on it, any who looked to the serpent raised high were made well.

We see this old testament story as a shadow reality of what Jesus did for us! That He was raised on the cross, and that any who look to Him will be saved! And more, have eternal life!

This is the good news that we have.

May we be given and take opportunity by God to tell people this message of hope in Him.

* Father God,

Thank You for the promises we have, that when we believe in Jesus we do not perish but gain eternal life.

Thank You for saving us.

Thank You for Jesus.

Amen.
