John the Baptist’s witness to Jesus gave Jesus His first disciples. Andrew brought Peter to Jesus. Who should you bring? First, bring that one to God in prayer today.
John does what we are all to do – He points people to Jesus!
“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'”
This is our message too!
That Jesus is the way to be freed from the bondage of sin that is so evident in the world around us.
That Jesus is the sacrifice that shows God is fully just and full of mercy and grace to forgive us our sins.
That Jesus is both powerful enough and intentional to work this wonderful grace and mercy for us, broken and desperate though we are.
Praise God for His love for us! For Him as Father, Son and Spirit! For our hope in Him, that inheritance of eternal life that we look forward to.
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
* Father God,
Thank You for Jesus, who takes away our sin!
Thank You for Your mercy, not giving to us what we deserve.
And thank You for Your grace, giving to us what we definitely do not deserve.
