SAA Notes
Some of the greatest opponents of Christ’s Gospel in Australia come from inside the Christian Church. They are people who have refused to believe, and who have an irrational hatred for those who do believe. How does Paul’s example encourage you?
SJA Notes
* Faithful God, thank You for the encouragement we find in Your word.
“… Strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”
Is this a foreign word to us or does it resonate in our hearts?
This word is TRUTH.
A truth we should be hearing from our pulpits, that we should be preaching ourselves, all of God’s people, in word and thought and deed within the groupings and gatherings that God places us in.
To encourage one another in the faith.
To remind one another of the tribulations that will come upon us as people of God’s kingdom.
This is an important word.
Let us take up this charge, today and onwards.
* Gracious Father,
Thank You for the example of Paul and Barnabas, strengthening the souls of Your people throughout their travels.
Please help us to do the same.
Amen.
