SAA Notes

This first earthly Tabernacle is a copy of the real one in heaven – Hebrews 8:5, 9:24. Put all this together with the fact that the New Testament calls the Church the Tabernacle of the Holy Spirit, and that we are called to be builders of this spiritual Tabernacle. We should offer nothing less to this great building today anything than the best of who we are and what we have in time, resources, encouragement and labour!

SJA Notes

* Faithful God in Heaven, we are justified in Your sight only through Jesus. Please teach us from Your word today.

“All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the LORD had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the LORD.”

A done-with-free-will offering, heart-stirred, generous without thought of return – This is how we are to approach our service to the Lord.

It is to be spun up out of the outpouring of love from our hearts, love for God, love for His people.

Give of our very selves, give with a generous heart, not seeking anything in return.

This is how Jesus walked.

This is how we are to walk.

* Dear God,

Please teach us what it means to walk as Your people through this life.

Mark us as servants with willing heart-open service, as we read of in today’s passage here.

We would follow our Master!

Amen.
