SAA Notes

There are many lessons in this chapter. Consider the relationship of these three great feasts – Passover, The Feast of Weeks and The Feast of Ingathering (also called Feast of Tabernacles) with the three great foci of the New Testament – Crucifixion/Resurrection, Pentecost and the Marriage Feast of the Lamb at the end of the harvest of the world.

SJA Notes

* Dear God, Your word is all that we need for wisdom and truth, there is no other word like it. Please write Your word on our hearts today.

“… (for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), …”

Do we remember this as we go through life?

Our God is a jealous God.

He wants singleness of worship, faithfulness of our relationship with Him.

Our God is not a weak and ineffectual entity. He is the ALMIGHTY GOD who can crack the mountains and spin or unspin creation itself into and out of being.

Do we fear our Lord God with a holy and reverent fear?

He is the God who worked marvels with Israel such as never were before seen – An awesome thing that He did amongst them.

And praise Him for the awesome thing He has done in us – Powerfully saving our souls, dead hearts brought to life, moving from darkness into light.

Hallelujah, this is our God! Praise Him!

* Gracious God,

Thank You for working in us a wonderful work; saving us to new life, born again through Your Spirit.

Please remind us that You are a jealous God.

When we are tempted to stray, to follow after other things, remind us of who You are.

Amen.
