SAA Notes

Jesus’ challenge (v.24) to the Pharisees is also for you and me – make a right judgment! Don’t go by appearances. We must be careful how we use the Scripture. The Pharisees used Scripture to oppose and ridicule Jesus!

SJA Notes

* Holy God, please show us Your grace and mercy today.

“How it is that this man has learning, when he has never studied?”

Although this verse  speaks directly of our perfect King and Saviour, God in the Person of the Son – It holds great hope for us all.

We humanity can make a big deal out of recognition of intellect and study.

But God’s word can be written on the heart anyone!

God’s wisdom can be practiced and applied by you and me!

Regardless of our wealth or social standing, regardless of our past study record, our doctorates or degrees – We are all God’s people able to partake of His word, to wield His wisdom.

This is a good thing, worthy to wrestle to grasp and understand.

* Father God,

Thank You that we can have Your word on our hearts, Your wisdom on our lips.

Please help us to be wise in You, to seek Your face, to grow each day in our knowledge and understanding of You.

Amen.
