SAA Notes

Do you need someone to pray like this about you – May the Lord, out of His glorious riches, strengthen you with power in your inner being? (v16) Ask! Can you, like Paul, let someone know this is how you pray for them?

SJA Notes

* God Above, You are the true God, there is no other. Please fix our eyes on You today and each day onward, to glory.

“… That you, being rooted and grounded in love, …”

We can be very thankful that we God’s people know the love of God. Steadfast and pure, faithful and true.

In Jesus, the true vine, we are to be rooted and grounded in His love for us.

It is love that binds together after an argument between husband and wife, brother and sister, between friends.

It is love that helps us wrestle with a fear of starting something new – A job, a school, moving to a new place.

It is love that allows us to come together from all walks of life to worship the living and true God. Despite our differences, our attitudes, our personalities and our decisions. Despite the wrongdoing that happens, the conversations that go bad, the hurt and pain that we and that we receive.

This love spoken of in the passage is from God – It is HIS love that we have been shown, and that we are to show to the world.

Praise God for His love!

* Father God,

Thank You that You loved us so much as to send Yourself, in the Person of the Son, Jesus.

Thank You that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Thank You that Your love cannot be broken or torn apart or made impure.

Please help us to show Your love to those around us.

Amen.
