SAA Notes

Jesus drew Zacchaeus to Himself. This should encourage you to pray for that one who does not yet know Him. The point of the Parable of the Talents is seen in verse 13 – put what I have given you to work for My kingdom until I return! Don’t speculate practice!

SJA Notes

* Creator God, thank You for continuing to sustain creation, thank You for giving us life.

“And he was seeking to see who Jesus was …”

Zacchaeus was SEEKING Jesus.

He had presumably heard much of this Jesus – healing diseases, freeing the demon-possessed, rebuking the hypocritical leadership, raising the dead, preaching God’s word with power – and wanted to know Him better.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.”

Zacchaeus was lost, even as he looked to find out more about this Jesus.

Jesus sought him out and saved him.

Today people are seeking.

Eternity is wrapped up in and written on our hearts.

Let us point people who are seeking to Jesus!

* Saviour God,

Please bring those around us to a saving understanding of Jesus – To know our sin, to know our desperate and absolute need for You, to know You better!

Amen.
