SAA Notes

Jesus often spoke on money. Is money a necessary evil? Jesus’ first parable commends the wise use of money! What is the real warning in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man?

SJA Notes

“You cannot serve …”

To serve. To love.

We are to be singular in our devotion.

“You shall have no other gods before me.”

Here Jesus preaches to us a practical outworking of one of the most divisive elements in all of creation.

Money.

“You cannot serve God and money.”

AND money.

We are reminded here to be singular in our devotion, faithful to our God. To have no other that we serve but Him. That our love (because the Pharisees loved money) be true to our Saviour.

Because He saved us! Noone else can do what He did! Can do, has done, will do. There is only Him. Only Jesus!

* Father God,

Thank You! What a Saviour You are!

Please help us, weak as we are, each day to serve You and You alone.

Help us to be wise as we walk through this life. Wise with what You give to us. Wise with what is in the world.

Amen.
