SAA Notes
Here are three parables and a miracle. What does each teach? What does it mean to be terrified (verse 41)? Have you ever looked at Jesus like this?
SJA Notes
* God Above, thank You today for Your word to us, living and active.
“It is like a grain of mustard seed, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”
See here how Jesus speaks of His kingdom, the Kingdom of God – What humility and upside-down wisdom and truth we read here.
It is good to remember;
This is He who is the energy that both created and sustains the universe.
This is He who could call down ten thousand legions of mighty angels to do His bidding.
This is He who was before time in perfection communion with the other Persons of God, Father and Spirit.
This is He, the Son who rises with healing in His wings.
It can sometimes be easy to get frustrated at the state of the world today, even the state of the church. We can become angry at the seeming lack of power we hold as God’s people
But we are to be reminded of Jesus’ words here. His kingdom is not like other kingdoms.
This King is not like other kings.
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
* Gracious Father,
Thank You for Your love for us.
Thank You for Your Son, the King who went to the cross for His people.
Please mark us as a faithful people who submit under Your will, each day stepping forth in active hard-won hard-wrestled trust in You.
Amen.
