SAA Notes

These psalms have some memorable lines! Confidence in God brings marvellous strength and the spirit to persevere! He is the Rock that is higher than my problems and myself.

SJA Notes

* Mighty God, thank You that in Your Name we have hope, blessing to all nations.

“You have made your people see hard things; you have given us wine to drink that made us stagger.”

Things went horribly wrong for God’s people, and David comes to the Lord.

God made the people see hard things, made them stagger.

God’s word is not a flimsy tale, it is not a man-made story to prop up a man-made ideology!

Here is the truth of living responsibly in this world under God’s sovereign will.

David brings his petitions and cares to the faithful God whose love is steadfast, and he acknowledges this important truth,

“Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man!”

We cannot save ourselves.

We need God’s saving power, His grace and mercy.

* God Above,

Wonderful Saviour, God of light and love,

Please hear our prayer today.

Please write Your word on our hearts, that we might not sin against You.

Please show us Jesus today.

Amen.
