SAA Notes
Solomon did it! It seemed a mammoth task before he began, but he did it! Hallelujah! I’m sure everyone felt like that when our church building was finished. Likewise, Jesus shall finish what He has begun! That day, too, shall come!
SJA Notes
* Most High God, we know that You are great, that You are above all gods. Whatever You please You do, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the deeps.
“He overlaid it with 600 talents of fine gold. The weight of gold for the nails was fifty shekels. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.”
The word “gold” or “golden” is mentioned more than ten times in this passage.
It is very intentional that the most precious materials were used in the construction of the temple by Solomon.
How good then it is to think about us as living stones, being built up as a spiritual house (1 Peter 2).
Jesus is always building His church, and we are being refined – We who are more precious than gold! (1 Peter 1)
We are a wonderful precious building material for God’s house.
Praise Him, praise Him!
* Wondrous God,
Praise Your Name! Hallelujah!
You are good and Your mercies are without end.
Thank You Lord!
Amen.
