There is now something you must no longer do! There are things you must put off! This is because there are things you must now be doing and things you must now put on! What are they?

* Dear Lord God, please create a clean heart in us today, renew a right spirit within us, that we might bring You honor and glory.
“… To put off your old self, … And to put on the new self, …”
Look at the agency we have as God’s people, as followers of Jesus!
We are called to put off our old self and to put on the new self.
We are to put away falsehood.
We are to lovingly speak what is true with one another.
Do not sin when angry. Watch our language, only speaking words that are fit for building (not destroying).
Put away bitterness and wrath and anger, clamor and slander and malice.
Be kind, tender-hearted, forgiving.
And this command – to not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.
These are the good works we are to strive for.
See the responsibility we have as God’s people, the agency we have been granted.
* Father God,
Thank You that in Jesus we see the truth of how to walk in the way of life!
Please write Your word on our hearts this day. Cause us to fall before You in repentance and belief.
