SAA Notes

Paul had never been to this church. They accepted him as Christ’s Apostle. Meditate on what Paul says in verses 5,6. You will find much to think through and about in this book.

SJA Notes

* Dear Lord God, please show us truth from Your word today.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

Here Paul gives us a most excellent and powerful word.

It is a word of encouragement – That the wonderful good news of Jesus saves!

And it is a word of exhortation – That we must be NOT ASHAMED of this news.

We can break things down, pare them back, and sit a while taking in the simple reality of Jesus.

How do we show we are NOT ASHAMED of Him, of the good news He brings?

We will never get too wise, to old, to learned, to experienced for this not to be a gong of truth resounding in our hearts.

Let us strive today and each day – to be NOT ASHAMED of Jesus!

* Gracious Lord God,

Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for the good news of Jesus, that it is Your power for salvation, for all who believe.

We believe Lord – Help us in our unbelief!

Amen.
