SAA Notes

Moses and Elijah talk with Jesus about His death. Jesus then tells His disciples. Jesus is a clear communicator. What is needed besides clear communication for someone to understand the Gospel? Look for lessons in life on the greatness of God!

SJA Notes

“Let these words sink into your ears; The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.”

It seems that at the time Jesus said these words, the disciples just didn’t understand them.

How could God be delivered into the hands of men?

How could the Messiah, long-prophesied, greater Son of the great warrior king David be taken by mere mortals?

But Jesus went to the cross, enduring pain and heartache that we will never have to face (in Him, through His salvation).

This is the message of the gospel, that the all-powerful God would set foot here in a broken world and let Himself be taken captive and murdered so that His love could go forth through all the world.

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

* Lord God,

Thank You for Jesus, for Your love that we see shining through Him.

Remind us each day Lord of Your love. Point our hearts back to You each day.

May we see Jesus, every day.
