SAA Notes

How do you recognize favouritism in your own relationships? Why should it not be found in our church and families? What relationship is there between faith and works or deeds?

SJA Notes

“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.”

This is why Jesus came!

Because none of us, not one, can keep God’s law fully. Even for a moment, and especially not for any period of time.

But this is the good news that we have – Jesus came for sinners, one and all, the lowly, the wealthy, the in-betweens.

That means our judgement must be altered, no partiality being shown.

That means our actions show forth our humble submission under God’s will, not saying one thing and doing another.

That means we can show mercy because we understand the mercy God has shown to us!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

* Merciful Father,

You are wonderful, we praise Your Name.

Thank You for saving us, sinners, through Your mercy and Your grace.

Thank You for Jesus.

Please help us to be about the good works that You have stored up for us to do.
