SAA Notes

In this incident the devils seemed to win. By their actions, the people of the region begged Jesus to leave. Jesus left the healed demonic as His witness. The next time Jesus came into this area, he is received very differently. (Decapolis is this area – Mark 7:31-8:13)

SJA Notes

* God of grace and mercy, thank You for the good news of Jesus that we read throughout Your word.

“And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled.”

The man who had been possessed by a legion of demons wanted to follow bodily after his Saviour, the Son of the Most High God.

But his King directed him otherwise, to go back home and tell everyone about what had been done.

The good news of Jesus.

Jesus saved this man as surely as He saves all who come to Him.

And this is good news!

This story is of great encouragement to us to tell the people around us, where-ever God places us, about Him and the salvation we find in Him.

Hallelujah, what a Saviour we have!

* Mighty God,

Thank You for bringing us from darkness into light.

Thank You for taking our dead hearts and making them alive in Christ.

Thank You for taking the just punishment for our sin on Yourself, that we might escape from Your wrath.

Thank You Lord!

Amen.
