March 26, Reading 3 – Acts 26:12-32

Reading

SAA Notes

Notice that Paul seeks to convince Agrippa about Christ Jesus. He wants to see Agrippa repent and believe. He speaks to this man in such a way as to get a good hearing. Use Paul’s testimony as a model to write your own. (If you have a problem, ask your minister or elder how!)

SJA Notes

* Dear God, may the light of Your word shine forth from us today.

“… that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”

The old testament is not dry and dusty, without purpose or meaning in a modern world.

The old testament is not irrelevant to the thinker, to the ponderer and philosophic mind.

The old testament is not without power today for the simple hearted belief we are called to, like a child.

God’s word is HIS WORD, from Genesis through Revelation.

The two testaments work together, unified and without fault.

Because they point to Jesus.

That is Paul’s point here, one of them.

Moses and the prophets, the old testament – It TESTIFIES TO CHRIST.

That He would suffer, die, rise from the dead and bring light to the world!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour we have!

What a God we have, that He would give to us His word – Old and New testaments telling of His glory.

* Mighty God Above,

Thank You for Your word in full.

Please help us trust in You, and in Your word.

For it is life to us.

Amen.
